It appears that CBMR is close to finalizing deals that will increase the number of ski jets flying directly to Gunnison next season. We can expect new direct flights from key markets and hubs including Salt Lake City, Chicago, Atlanta, and Houston.

At the Mountain Travel Symposium at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa in Vail last week, the keynote speaker Peter Yesawich reminded the audience that in the coming years an estimated $41 trillion will be inherited by baby boomers and much of that is money expected to wind up in resort real estate, including mountain resorts. "I think the ski industry is incredibly well-positioned after we get through this current soft spot in the economy," concluded Yesawich.
